Abstract

In the analysis of power relations in a literary text, poetry and literary text are considered as a social action. In Foucault's belief, power relations are scattered in a chain and organizational form among the elements of a social system, including the state and the people, and are current and pervasive among the smallest and most insignificant behaviors and actions of individuals, individuals and classes of society. Therefore, any behavior and relationship between classes of society must be examined from the perspective of power discourse. The present article deals with this approach in detail and analyzes the discourse of power and its relations in Khaqani's imprisonment from the perspective of Michel Foucault; The result of the research is that the poet in prison uses words as a tool for resistance and struggle against the ruling power, and wherever he is defeated and subdued in these verbal conflicts with the ruler and rival poets, relying on his linguistic power, he uses poetry and the discourse of his knowledge as a tool for resistance, struggle, and discursive development, and uses the power of words to weaken or challenge the power that reduces and degrades the individuals of society to the level of submissive and obedient subjects. In his imprisonment, he seeks to highlight his scientific and poetic status against the power apparatus and his other rivals, and to force them to accept the verdict of release from prison and to prove the superiority of his position in poetry and consciousness.
