Bahrami Ardabili has been influenced by Nizami's Leyli and Majnun in his seven poems titled "Haft Paykar." He has reinterpreted portions of this lyrical epic from the perspective of Leyli and Majnun, creating a reading in which the reader takes on an active role. By generating multiple meanings and rendering concepts more visual, the poet creates a layered imagery compared to Nizami, resulting in a polysemous text that allows the audience to reinterpret it as if they are rewriting the poem themselves. In this study, we will descriptively and analytically explore the shared and reciprocal relationships in the imagery and concepts of Nizami's "Leyli and Majnun" and Bahrami Ardabili's "Haft Paykar," just as the intertextual relations, both imitative and oppositional, will be examined in the structure of the two texts according to intertextuality theory. In this process of influence, Ardabili has presented a more visual and tradition-breaking poem that evokes Nizami's figurative thinking in poetry. Additionally, Ardabili has been influenced in his perspective on concepts such as the union of beloved and lover, the death of friendship in the pursuit of union with the beloved, hope for union, and references to parts of the original narrative of Leyli and Majnun by Nizami.
