The Shahnameh, while reflecting the patterns of Iranian mythology, also preserves and transmits them, which can be achieved by analyzing the evidence and clues in its stories and using other texts of ancient Iran. Among the patterns discussed is the presence of ancient Indo-Iranian gods, signs of which can be seen in the lower layers of the verses. One of these gods is Upam-nabat (the god of water), who is present in Siavushi's dreams. To confirm this, examples from the Avesta and Rigveda texts are also mentioned. In this study, we analyze Siavushi's dreams and the presence of the god Upam-nabat in Shahnameh based on library studies and qualitative content analysis. The candle emerging from the water is a link between the cosmic element and the element of water; That is, the god Apamnepat refers to its keeper. The brightness of the candle in the water refers to the brightness of the fire in the water and the luminous attribute of this god; because Apamnepat is the keeper of the cosmic fire and is as brilliant as Amshaspandan. The brightness of the candle in the water refers to the brightness of the fire in the water and the luminous attribute of this god; because Apamnepat is the keeper of the cosmic fire and is as brilliant as Amshaspandan
